Session hours in Kenya

Kenya is 2.5 hours behind India all year - East Africa Time (UTC+3) has no daylight saving, and neither does India. An Indian morning session falls in your early morning and an Indian evening in your late afternoon or evening, so most clients find a slot around the working day.

Usual consultation hours (Every day, India time) converted for this week. Exact open slots appear on the booking page.

New to Vedic astrology?

Vedic astrology (Jyotish) uses the sidereal zodiac, about 24° from the tropical zodiac of Western astrology, so your signs usually move back by one. No background is needed - these four words cover most of a first reading:

  • Lagna - your rising sign, which sets the twelve houses
  • Chandra Rashi - your Moon sign, the sign Indian astrology leads with
  • Nakshatra - one of 27 lunar mansions; yours is the Moon's
  • Dasha - the planetary period you are living through, used for timing

Born in Kenya? Your birth time

Give the time on the birth certificate and the town of birth. Kenya has kept East Africa Time (UTC+3) since 1 August 1942 with no daylight saving, so modern birth times chart straightforwardly. Before that the clocks ran on UTC+2:30 or UTC+2:45 (and on UTC+3 from July 1928 to early January 1930) - relevant only for a grandparent's chart, and applied automatically for the date.

What clients in Kenya ask about

Readings in Gujarati

Many Kenyan Asian families trace their roots to Gujarat and still speak Gujarati at home. Sheela Goklani is based in Ahmedabad, and sessions can run fully in Gujarati, so elders can follow every word and ask their own questions.

Family business and succession

Expanding a family firm, bringing in the next generation or taking on a partner: the houses of gains, partnership and assets are read alongside your running Dasha and transits to judge timing.

University and careers abroad

Children often study in the UK, Canada, India or Australia, and the question of whether they come back follows. The 4th, 9th and 12th houses, read with the Dasha, show when travel is favoured and when settling is.

Panchang near the equator

Nairobi and Mombasa sit just south of the equator, so sunrise barely moves through the year - between about 6:10 and 6:45 a.m. in Nairobi. Tithi, Rahu Kaal and muhurat timings still differ from India's because of the time gap and your longitude, so they are calculated for your city.

Relationships and compatibility

Beyond formal matching, a relationship reading compares two charts to show where you understand each other and where friction comes from, and the Dashas show when the bond is tested or deepens.

Life direction

If you are new to Vedic astrology, the most useful first question is often 'what is this period of my life for?'. The running Mahadasha and Antardasha answer it, with dates.

Questions from Kenya

What Kenyan time are sessions available?
India is 2.5 hours ahead of Kenya all year, so sessions run from your early morning into the evening. The booking calendar shows every open slot in East Africa Time.
Can the reading be in Gujarati?
Yes. Mention Gujarati when booking and the whole session, including remedies, is conducted in Gujarati. Hindi, English, Rajasthani, Sindhi and Urdu are also available; Swahili is not offered.
Do I need to convert a Kenyan birth time to IST?
No. Give the clock time from the birth certificate and the town. East Africa Time - or the older offset for a birth before August 1942 - is applied during calculation.
Can family in India or the UK join the session?
Yes. Share the Google Meet link and relatives anywhere can join the same live reading.
Do I need to know Vedic astrology? How is it different from Western astrology?
No background is needed - every term is explained as the reading goes, and the site has a glossary of Vedic astrology terms. Vedic astrology (Jyotish) uses the sidereal zodiac, measured against the fixed stars, while Western astrology uses the tropical zodiac tied to the equinoxes. The two currently sit about 24 degrees apart, so most of your planets, often including the Sun, fall one sign earlier in a Vedic chart. Jyotish also puts more weight on the Moon sign, the 27 Nakshatras (lunar mansions) and Dasha periods, which is how it times events.
Which consultation should I start with?
If you have one clear question - a job offer, a relationship, whether this is a good year to move - start with Ask One Question, a short live session in which your chart is read before the call so the whole time goes to your answer. For a complete picture of career, relationships, money and timing, book the Full Birth Chart Analysis.
How will I know the fee before I pay?
The booking page shows the fee for the consultation you pick, in the currency set for your country (your local currency or US dollars), before you pay. Nothing is charged until you confirm, and fees are not published elsewhere on the site.
Can I reschedule if something comes up?
Yes. Rescheduling is free up to 24 hours before your session - reply to the confirmation email or send a WhatsApp message. Fees are non-refundable, so if a date stops working, move it rather than miss it.
